Restrictions on movement, combined with the economic and social pressures caused by the COVID-19 have led to an alarming rise in domestic and intra-family violence. The Ministry of the Interior refers to a 30% increase in such violence during the first confinement, associations say they are overwhelmed and the United Nations has called on all governments around the world to mobilise against this scourge.

Aware of the urgency of the situation, Jacques Djoman, a Master 2 student at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, accompanied by teams from the school's Entrepreneurship Center, the student association and , is currently developing a free application to prevent and help victims of domestic violence.

Named SACHA, this discreet and secure mobile application will include several functionalities, in particular it will allow :

  • instantly alert family and friends in the event of a problem;
  • to alert the police so that they can intervene quickly;
  • if the situation permits, to collect audio and visual evidence on an encrypted server;
  • to access essential information provided by qualified associations and institutions.

In order to finance the development of this application, a participatory financing campaign was launched on the Ulule platform. Everyone can therefore contribute to the fight against domestic violence by supporting the SACHA project:
