The metamorphosis of management in a time of transition

16 Sep 2024

In a context marked by multiple crises - economic, social, ecological and geopolitical (ESEG) - how can we imagine companies remaining on the sidelines of the transitions (socio-economic and socio-environmental) of the post-modern era?

What are the contemporary transformations, at both macro-strategic and micro-managerial levels, that it is crucial to recognise in order to inform strategic, managerial and even political decisions?

To identify these transformations, the study begins by taking stock of current knowledge, based on scientific literature and field observations carried out within governance bodies, managerial strata and organisational teams. It then presents a qualitative survey of executives and managers, providing a concrete illustration of these changes and drawing lessons on the mechanisms of strategic and ecosystemic alignment of companies, the regulatory challenges that accompany them, and the crucial role of local management.

On this basis, the study proposes a strategic and managerial model to guide organisations through the ESEG transitions they face, in order to guarantee their survival and development, while making the most of their human potential.
