At the beginning of 2022, nearly 200 students from ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ's PGE have just completed the first stage of the "Talent Games" challenge proposed by Décathlon. The challenge given to our students by France's favourite company?
To imagine an innovative service or product in line with the brand's values and its commitment to sustainable development. More than 40 teams of 3 to 6 ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ students are taking part in this challenge, which runs throughout the year 2021/2022. For Imen Safraou, director of the school's Marketing Department and initiator of the project, this Challenge is not a Business Game like any other since "the students are not working on fictitious issues but on concrete proposals that could be implemented by Decathlon in the coming months". Moreover, this Challenge is an integral part of the teaching methods used at PGE: 50% of the 4th year Marketing courses are devoted to it and the evaluation of the deliverables replaces the end-of-semester exams.
The Decathlon teams will evaluate the innovative character, feasibility, financial opportunity and ecological impact of the project as well as the respect of the brief or the clarity of the deliverables. The three best teams will present their proposals during a grand oral. In addition to the prizes awarded to the three finalist teams (200, 100 and 50 € for each member), this Challenge is an opportunity for the students to express their talents and to be noticed by the recruiters of Decathlon, a company that hires many young business school graduates every year.
¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ is proud that a company like Decathlon, a pioneer in sustainable development issues, trusts its students to take a fresh look at their problems and propose solutions that will increase their turnover while respecting the planet.
